Assembly and Board: Locations, Meetings, and Contact

The Board and the Council are seated in Strasbourg, in the close vicinity of the Council of Europe. The Assembly meetings are currently held either in Strasbourg (at the Pôle Européen des Universités) or in Noyon (also in France). Every third year meetings are held either in Brussels or in Tournai (Belgium). The choice of the double-twin locations in Europe stems from the geo-historical roots of the ancestor academy.

Previously, from 2000 to 2003, the University Academy was hosted at other locations, mainly by courtesy of and at the colleges or faculties of the University of Cambridge, and subsequently at the University of Paris.

Until 2007 (prior to the Ensign integration stage) the Council was hosted in turns by its own members.

Ancillary regional desks or project-based (shared) units of the Assembly, or of the Council specifically, are currently located in South-East Asia (Bangkok, Thailand, since Nov. 2007), Africa (Cairo, Egypt, and Cape Town, South-Africa), North America (Palo Alto, California, since Jan. 2008; Washington D.C. as of Jan. 2009), and South America (Sao Paulo, Brazil, until Dec. 2009).

An international representation or 'consular' office and (e-)coordination unit is based in Brussels. The Directorate of the Thierry Graduate School in Belgium provides this special courtesy service, since 2004. Address: 13, Square R. Goldschmidt, BE 1050 Brussels, Belgium. Phone : +32 (0)2 648 16 02.

Telecommunication of the project-members who are located worldwide, and of the Board and Council members, is organised via a special mobile phone network. Please call the Brussels unit for further info.

The main e-mail address to contact the University Academy is: welcome@brexgata.eu

Important notice: The University Academy does not provide courses or programmes of its own, nor student registration services. Emails from persons requesting programme-application details and admission procedures will not be processed.
